The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway converted its ¿Christmas Tree¿ starting system from incandescent bulbs to LEDs (light-emitting diodes) immediately following the third annual ACDelco Las Vegas NHRA Nationals Oct. 26. The NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Division 7 Finals (Oct. 30-Nov. 2) will be the first event to be contested with the new LED system. The new system will remain in place through the Las Vegas Bracket Nationals (Nov. 14-16), Super Chevy Show (Nov. 21-23) and the remaining Titan Auto Insurance Midnight Mayhem events (Nov. 7 and Dec. 5).
